Sick.

I didn't like this week, I really didn't. I hate being sick, because I'm not able to have all the fun and enjoy myself. Down with a really bad cough and almost lost my voice, now I sound like a man. Times like these I hate answering phone calls because everyone will just assume that some random guy answered a call on my behalf, when it's actually me.

Wasn't able to concentrate most of the time during my Quality Service in Hospitality progress test, I coughed more than I thought. By the time I got home I was already struggling whenever I spoke. I'm quite stubborn, honestly speaking. Instead of staying home to rest, I went out for dinner with Sebastian, Jiayi & Grace at Timbre! Ordered a whole lot of food but end up wasting it. 2 huge pizzas, nachos and fries. I couldn't even walk after that. Stayed on to enjoy the really awesome live band and left at about 11pm or so. It was a good catch up session though!

I barely had enough rest and dragged my feet to class the next day. After classes ended, went off to Novena for my Muay Thai training. It was my first training and I got really excited. I've been wanting to learn this for so long but I never thought I'd actually go for it. Probably owe Ryan a big thank you for this. I truly admire his perseverance to constantly improve himself during training everyday. 3 to 4 hours of training 5 days a week is tough and it was definitely not easy for him to get this far either. His passion and endurance motivated me in some way or another and thus, I made a decision to go for it.

First training, I swear I almost wanted to give up during the first 15 minutes. I've never done such intense warm up in my entire life. Then I remembered the reason I was there, and I wanted to prove to myself that I can be better. Managed to last 2 hours of intense training and I really enjoyed it! Cannot wait for the next training on Monday! Here's a picture of how the place looks like. Really good environment because it's at the rooftop where I get fresh air!

Rushed all the way back to the West for a girlfriend's birthday celebration! One of my best friends since Secondary 1, which is about 7 years back. Cannot thank her enough for constantly being there for me, always listening to what I have to say and to lend me a shoulder to cry on. Surprised her with my presence because I lied and said I wouldn't be able to make it. Then I had to rush back home after to prepare for campus tour the next day.

I was really worried for campus tour as my voice was already half gone. Panicked while waiting for Mr Qamar to be escorted up to the 4th level. However, all went well!

Watched Chestnuts 6.9: The Less Miserable White Paper Singaporee at National Library Drama Center. A 2 and a half hours show, so it was supposed to end at 10.30pm since it started at 8pm but nooooooo, it ended at 11.20pm instead! I was panicking cause I've been arguing with my dad recently. He keeps complaining that I'm out everyday and exaggerates about it. DADS........ Oh well.

Once again, went off to tutor the kids. And I finally went for high tea again. Back to TWG because I cannot be bothered to call and make reservations. Spent my whole afternoon enjoying my retail therapy at Orchard.

It's 2.49am right now as I'm typing this last sentence. I need to sleep right now, cannot wait to see my favourite children at church later! All I wish for right now is to get better, SIGH. OKAY, enough said. GOODNIGHT :)

Long break.

Lovin' this week! WHY? Because I only had to attend classes for 3 days! Thanks to Hari Raya and National Day! Best week ever. Wishing all my Muslim friends a Selamat Hari Raya! Happy birthday to Singapore, & Ryan of course.

I was supposed to prepare for my QSH test during the 4 days but no, I was too busy going out and having all the fun I can have.

Today, I was extremely busy. It was as if I was travelling around the whole Singapore! I went Novena early in the morning for Muay Thai, then traveled all the way back to Jurong Point to take a look at the Pilates class that I'm interested in. Went to Vivocity after because I couldn't think of anywhere else to go. Wanted to go over to Sentosa but I realised it was a weekend and it would be too packed. Finally settled down at Max Brenner chocolate bar to share chocolate fondue and enjoy some tea before walking around aimlessly.

And it's finally my duty to take care of the little kids tomorrow in church! I really cannot wait. I honestly miss them a lot. I gotta sleep early or I wouldn't have the energy to handle them tomorrow!

Goodnight!

All the fun I could ask for.

Another week is over and now I reckon it's time to panic. WHY?
Because progress tests are around the corner and I'm honestly not prepared. I should start really soon although I'm pretty sure I'll do last minute work, as usual. What's new?

Another busy week for me, but it was an enjoyable one! Last thursday, went over to church for kindy meeting. Cannot wait for my duty so I can see the kids again! Nat came over to my place for a sleepover after! She stays all the way in the east and it would be really far for her to travel all the way back to the east, and back to the west again in the morning to attend lecture. So I told her to come to my place, and I was really excited. Being the only child, besides talking to friends, it's really quite lonely at home.

We spammed photos, took Instagram videos and did all the silly things we could till we realised it was already 1 in the morning, and we had to be up at 6.30am. My helper was really sweet to prepare french toast for us in the morning for breakfast. She's the best, and I will really miss her when she goes back someday. She's been with me watching me grow up since I was 4! Walked to the bus stop together and the best thing was that she had a direct bus to SIM. I'd really consider renting a room to her. One, it'd be nearer for her so she doesn't have to get up super early in the morning for lecture. Two, I'd have company during the weekdays! I think it's a pretty good idea though, hahaha.

Yesterday, went over to Siloso Beach for CTIS! I was really late though. I was so sleepy I couldn't help it but went to take a nap. Was supposed to meet Dawn and the rest at Vivocity, 5pm. What happened? I woke up at 4.30! I panicked and I was really rushing like mad. Was going to take a straight bus from my place but checked the " SGNextBus" application, it stated 19 minutes. Forget it, I'll probably reach at 7pm if I were to wait for the bus. So took the car keys and rushed over. Thank God the traffic jam wasn't that bad yet. Met Rayner halfway and walked as fast as we could from Sentosa Boardwalk. Did not take the monorail because it costs $4 just to get in?! I think it's daylight robbery!

Met Lester and Grace halfway and we ended up reaching at 6.30pm. One and a half hours late, we're the best. Oh well. Didn't do much there though, no sun to suntan. Went off for a movie after- Pain and Gain. Really good movie! 2 hours long and I swear my ass was really cramp after.

Went off to Woodlands to tutor the P6 kids again, and had lunch at Jurong Point. Back home after, because I really needed to rest. Getting old maybe, hahaha.

Time to rest now, have to be up early for church service tomorrow! Goodnight (:

One of the best weekends.

I'm back, like I promised. Well, it's been a rather hectic week once again. School is as boring as usual, except certain classes I guess. Let's not talk about school or I'll just doze off automatically.

One of my best girlfriends flew back to New York few days back and I'm starting to miss her already. We grew up together in church, 10 years of friendship and definitely still counting. Honestly speaking, the best girlfriends I have would be the ones in church. We've watched each other grow up, took care of each other as if we were real sisters. We were there for one another through thick and thin. The best moments were the sleepovers, chilling by the pool and just talk about everything we can think of. Every year, we NEVER miss Christmas service. It will be an yearly routine for the few of us to dress up and attend Christmas service together. I know I can always count on them no matter what happens. The best thing is, as a cell group, we volunteered to teach and take care of the Sunday school children. All the fun and laughter we have with the little children really brightens up our day. Besides having fun with the kids, it's also considered bonding time for the few of us.

All that has happened in these 10 years of friendship is too much for one blog entry, so I shall move on. So, I met my dear girls Sonjia and Nat for breakfast last Thursday morning before Sonjia flew back. Unfortunately, the rest of the girls weren't free but I'm sure there's a next time! Went to Hatched at Holland Village, it is a really cute restaurant where they have eggs in every dish.

Went off to school after that and rushed back home after for mummy's birthday dinner! Headed to Din Tai Fung at Jurong Point since it's mum's favourite. She never liked western food and I don't understand why. Oh well. Prepared 3 surprises for mum this year! I sneaked out of the house at 9.30pm on Wednesday night to Star Vista to collect my chocolate cake from Awfully Chocolate. Got home, woke everyone up and prepared to surprise her. I switched off the light while she was reading her magazine and she thought it was a blackout. Her reaction was really funny and I wish I'd taken a video of it. Then I placed a painting I've done for her before I left for breakfast on Thursday morning which was her 2nd surprise.

When I got home from school that day, my helper told me my mum was taking her afternoon nap. So I went to take out the Coach bag I bought for her last week, wrote a huge note saying " Happy Birthday Mum, I love you!" and pasted it on the paper bag. Placed it in front of her bed so when she woke up, it'd be the first thing she saw. That would be the 3rd surprise. The surprise was a success because mum couldn't stop smiling to herself when she came downstairs. I'm pretty sure she was feeling happy from the bottom of her heart, but she just had to say something sarcastic. She asked," Wow, did you strike the lottery?" I knew she'd say something like that, but it's alright she was the queen that day.

I also have to thank Grace for helping me choose the bags at Coach the other day. Can't remember how much I hesitated but it was a really tough decision to make. If Grace wasn't there with me I think I would have gone mad.

My weekends were spent well too! Yesterday, I went over to Youth Guidance Outreach Services at Woodlands to tutor the Primary 6 children. You wouldn't believe me if I said I tutor English, but yes I do. I'm not very good, but because they are all at foundation level so I guess I could help a little. I'm definitely not paid for it as I volunteered to do so. I have a church friend who works there and I've been going over there for the past 4 years to help out with events, counselling or whenever they needed help. Some of them there struggle a lot with family problems and school. I make an effort to befriend them because I guess what they need is a listening ear. Watching them grow to be someone better, stronger and braver comforts me so much.

Today, I managed to wake up early and attended church service with Nat. Spent my afternoon under the scorching hot sun. I swear I was dying of dehydration. Whatever it is, I enjoyed my weekends once again. Back to reality tomorrow, sigh.

Have a good week ahead everyone! Goodnight! (:

Saturdate.

After a hectic week of school, it was time to sit back and relax during the weekends. Had a really good dinner on Friday night at Poulet, one of the restaurants in VivoCity. They serve really good roasted chicken, sandwiches and soup. I definitely recommend this to everyone! The portion is just right, and the price is reasonable.

Moving on to Saturday, I spent my whole afternoon with Grace for our retail therapy and high tea session!
Starting from Ion Orchard, I finally bought my Havaianas slippers. Went around and around till we got to Paragon. I had a $100 voucher from Coach and I decided to spend it on my mum's birthday gift. It was so hard to decide on which bag I should get because my mum is rather picky. She loves bags that are really light, with zips and big enough for her to dump everything in. After much hesitation, a decision was finally made. It was a good deal as I was entitled to another 10% discount being a Gold card member of Coach.

We headed to Arteastiq after that, one of the tiny restaurants that serves high tea at Mandarin Gallery.

I've read reviews of the place online and it said that the food is good, but definitely not the service. True enough, I never thought their service would be that bad. We were seated at 3.15pm, ordered our food and beverages but our food orders only came an hour later. So hard to believe but unfortunately, it's true. The food was really delicious though.

Went all the way to Changi Airport after for dinner because I think I have nothing better to do. Had dinner at Pizza Hut. You must think I'm silly for travelling all the way from the west to the east just to have pizza hut, but don't ask me why because I don't have an answer. Maybe the pizza there is hotter and has more ingredients. Okay, I'm kidding. Had a craving for boost juice again and I swear I couldn't find it at Changi Airport even though the website says they are located there. So.... I went all the way to VivoCity just to satisfy my craving. Lastly, home sweet home.

Time for bed I guess. I gotta make full use of my weekends. Time flies and before you know it, the weekdays are here. Why can't we have 5 days of rest and 2 days of school instead? I must be in my dreams.

Goodnight!

Gone and back.

It's been a looooooong  time, really.
For the past few years, 8 years rather, I've had a blog but it is always left abandoned after a few posts. Reason? I became lazy. And yes, I have to admit I'm extremely lazy.

I deleted all my previous posts and I guess it's going to be a brand new start for this blog. Hopefully i wouldn't abandon it once more.

I have no idea what else I can write for this post. That's it, for now.

I'll be back.
